Concerts at the Cove: Salty Papa

On Thursday, July 16, at 6:00 PM, enjoy live music at Fletcher Cove Park! Local band Salty Papa brings in a blend of soul, R&B, Jazz, and Rock 'n' Roll.

The Concerts at the Cove series is designed for audiences of all ages and provides a unique cultural experience for families and friends to enjoy a variety of musical styles in a relaxed outdoor setting by the beach at sunset.

Guests are encouraged to arrive car-free, bring low-back beach chairs, ground covers or picnic blankets. The park fills up quickly, so it is best to arrive early. If you are planning to bring dinner, please remember to shop local!

Featured Performer: Salty Papa

Local band Salty Papa was formed by four Southern Californians in the early 1990s. They bring together Southern Soul Music and California Surf Vibes. They combine horns and percussion to create a unique version of Southern Fried Soul and California Dreamin'. During Covid, the band produced a stellar compilation of live tracks recorded at Salty Headquarters entitled "Now You Know". Their mix of Soul, R&B, Jazz, and Rock 'n' Roll are sure to get you grooving!
