Concerts at the Cove: Betamaxx & Atomic Groove
On Thursday, July 2, at 6:00 PM, enjoy live music on the beach! This week's featured performers are Betamaxx and Atomic Groove.
The Concerts at the Cove series is designed for audiences of all ages and provides a unique cultural experience for families and friends to enjoy a variety of musical styles in a relaxed outdoor setting by the beach at sunset.
Guests are encouraged to arrive car-free, bring low-back beach chairs, ground covers or picnic blankets. The park fills up quickly, so it is best to arrive early. If you are planning to bring dinner, please remember to shop local!

Solana Beach marks a major milestone this year with the 40th anniversary of its Concerts at the Cove series—celebrated in a truly special way by moving the event from its usual park setting down to the beach. With the sound of the waves and ocean views all around, this one-night-only seaside concert creates a unique and memorable experience for the community. Headlining the evening is Betamaxx, bringing their electrifying 80s hits to the shore, while Atomic Groove kicks things off with an upbeat mix of funk, soul, and crowd-favorite classics. It’s a fitting tribute to four decades of music, now with a spectacular coastal twist.

Formed in 2009, BETAMAXX has been captivating audiences all over Southern California with their authentic ‘80s live music experience. Packed with ultra-high energy, BETAMAXX delivers a non-stop, nostalgia-filled rock concert that keeps the dance floor packed from beginning to end.
From the pop of Michael Jackson and Madonna to the New Wave of New Order & Depeche Mode to the Rock of Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, BETAMAXX’s performances thrill audiences of all ages, creating the ultimate party atmosphere.
Atomic Groove
Atomic Groove consists of five “core” members lead by Band Leader and Lead Vocalist Carrie Weiland. Atomic Groove’s impressive musical expertise makes them the quintessential Variety Band. Their unique arrangements and renditions of dance jams from today to yesterday are delivered beyond expectation with enthusiasm, credibility, and a distinctive, ever-evolving Atomic Groove personality that keeps setting our band apart from the rest.
