I Love A Clean San Diego's 24th Annual Creek To Bay Cleanup
Are you ready to make a difference in your community and protect our planet? Join I Love A Clean San Diego for the Creek to Bay Cleanup, the largest Earth Week event in San Diego County! This family-friendly initiative invites volunteers of all ages to come together and tackle coastal pollution on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Event Overview: Founded in 2002 by I Love A Clean San Diego, the Creek to Bay Cleanup has become a hallmark event in the county's environmental calendar. Alongside Coastal Cleanup Day, it stands as one of the largest single-day environmental action events in San Diego County. This year, we aim to make an even bigger impact, with thousands of volunteers expected to participate.
Why Volunteer? Did you know that 80% of all coastal pollution begins inland? By joining the Creek to Bay Cleanup, you're not just picking up trash—you're defending our waterways from litter and safeguarding the health of our oceans. Every piece of trash removed from our beaches and water sources makes a difference in preserving our marine ecosystems.
Getting Involved: Participation in the Creek to Bay Cleanup is easy and rewarding. Register in advance and select your location. Volunteers can choose from around 100 sites across San Diego County, including one right here at Fletcher Cove! Then grab your buckets and work gloves, wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes, apply some form of sun protection (like sunscreen or a hat), and don't forget to bring a water bottle or two to stay hydrated. Register here.
